Age of the “Sister Guru”

Is the Teacher-on-High Model Shifting?

In ceremony last January, I was shown that the era of the guru – the single teacher to whom you pledge obedience – is transforming into the “age of the sister – or brother – guru.”

That means as each of us does our emotional and spiritual growth work, we become teachers of certain pieces of the whole for others. At the same time, others have pieces of the teachings for us. I’m talking deep-level insights. The kind of philosophical information about the nature of existence, the cosmos & the inner planes that you’d find in venerable spiritual texts & traditions – with an “evolutionary” tweak for the emerging age. In this paradigm, we are all equals in our teachings as well as in our need to learn and heal. We are co-gurus.

Operating as co-gurus requires working in groups, sitting in counsel together. Which, as I mentioned in my post back in October, requires trust. In some senses it’s a relief. While it’s nice to have that high-level ascended master on hand who knows the secrets of the universe & requires obedience of us, for many of us it’s not the path to give one incarnated human being that much power over us. Besides, some of those incarnated souls have not been able to handle the shadow elements once in human form and have fallen into sexual & other violations with students – particularly with women. More democratic forms of learning can sometimes circumvent such devastating situations. I’ve seen the co-guru phenomenon operating in remarkable ways whenever two or more people of spirit gather.

Some examples from my own experience:

• In the Unified Field meditations now being led semi-monthly by Santon de la Vie and Jan Cercone in Sausalito, CA, an incredible channeling pours forth through every participant, each one’s revelations sparking the other.

• Various friends & clients and I serve as particular activators of one another when we “get going” in one-on-one dialog. Wild, high-level information comes through that informs our spiritual teaching, healing work & personal lives.

• My friend Byron Belitsos and I have been known to co-channel as we share meals in restaurants as well as in more formal settings with others. What comes through is often unexpected and we look forward to hearing the next words.

• For the Be the Peace ritual that Seven Sisters led in September 2014, the planning group co-created the ceremony from scratch. Various people received pieces of the ceremony, and when we got stuck on a question we collectively went into meditation – and out popped the answers, with several of us channeling the same information.

• In my Becoming the Professional Priestess program back in Fall 2012, my students & I collectively channeled a journey that took us through the Galactic Center of the Milky Way in advance of the momentous Solstice 2012. Several of us drew upon or replicated that journey for others in our own Solstice events, which, esoterically speaking, was an important part of that cosmic passage.

• The teachings of my friend Amoraea are particularly activating for me, affirming or reminding me of what I already know & filling in the gaps in beautiful ways.

Who Are Your Co-Gurus?

Some of you may want to cultivate your own guru-hood & be stimulated by others’. Think about who lights your fire in this regard. Can you make time to meet regularly to co-receive and co-teach?

Love,

Marguerite
