Inspired Thoughts and a First-Step Meditation for Ascension

“There will be no ascension without self-love.” This is the message that came through to me this past week.
Because I was wondering: How is any of this promised personal ascension going to happen given that even the most spiritual people I know, myself included, are basically the walking wounded?
Is there going to be some magical formula, souped-up technique, or rapture incident that will jettison us into the higher realms of ourselves?
You see, these are the questions you ask when getting curriculum ready for a program that aims to help people step into their Divine Human Selves, as I am with the Divine Birth/Divine Self Mystery Teachings, which start on Feb 28.
What’s emerging is the realization that for the part of the program focused on helping people raise their vibration, the first step will be a SELF-LOVE & SELF-CARE ASSESSMENT.
Because without truly understanding how self-love looks in our daily lives, and without commiting to a self-love practice, any tools to come into the light of our being are going to have temporary results. They will lead to “spiritual bypass,” rather than authentic transformation.
In short, if we don’t fully, madly, deeply come into passionate love for ourselves, we may become 120 years old spiritually but we’ll remain 14 years old emotionally. We need to bring our emotional age up to our spiritual age if we’re going to move into 5th Dimensional Consciousness.
And that comes through treating ourselves tenderly, through “loving whatever is arising within ourselves,” as Matt Kahn says, and through bringing affection for ourselves into our own hearts.
A First-Step Tool: This Self-Love Guided Meditation
In co-creating the curriculum for the upcoming Divine Birth/Divine Self Mystery Teachings in partnership with the Universe, I began to realize just how important the self-love meditation I channeled two weeks ago on the Shift Network call was. Many people wrote in to say how profoundly they felt healed by it.
