Restoring the Feminine Seat of Power as Antidote to Global Distress

As I write to you from a moment of stillness ~ nestled in the green embrace of Virginia‘s soft hills, letting the breeze, birdsong, and sunlight replenish my spirit ~ I’m aware of both the beauty of life and the intensities of the world.

July is my birthday month, and each year it arrives with a feeling of rebirth, mystery, and deep feminine power. This season, in particular, I find myself reflecting on one of the most vital healings we can undertake now, both personally and collectively: the restoration of the connection between our womb and our heart.

In our culture, and especially within those of us called to walk a sacred path, there has been a long-standing disconnection between these two centers of power. The womb, our seat of creation, intuition, and ancient memory, has often been ignored or suppressed. The heart, our compass of love and divine guidance, has been wounded by loss, betrayal, and despair. When these two fall out of communion, we lose our sense of wholeness, clarity, and inner sovereignty.

This inner fragmentation mirrors what we’re seeing on the world stage ~ where the fire of war has been stoked in the outer realms, particularly through escalating violence and conflict. But I invite us to ask:

What if the antidote to this outer fire is not more aggression… but the sacred fire of the womb and heart reawakened within?

The womb-heart axis, when fully reconnected, becomes a temple of discernment and power. It’s a source of peace that doesn’t bypass the shadow. It’s a wellspring of wise action. When a person’s womb and heart burn in harmony, they are capable of profound healing, radiant leadership, and true priestess presence.

In this light, we might even see the ancient rift I recently wrote about between Sarah and Hagar, and between Isaac and Ishmael, as a symbolic mirror of this same disconnection. Mother and child, womb and inheritance, love and exile ~ these are wounds we carry not only in history, but in the very tissues of our bodies.

This ceremony draws on two Great Female Masters who lived in the contested lands that so figure in the news, inviting all who feel called to reclaim this inner connection, to ignite the sacred fire that heals not only the personal body, but also the collective field.

As we enter this new cycle together, may we remember:

The power we seek is already within us.
It lives in the tenderness of our heart.
It burns in the deep wisdom of our womb.
And when reunited, it becomes a force of peace the world cannot ignore.
