Hm… it’s happened again. Yes. A mysterious event at my jewelry box.
One recent morning, I was involved in a complex operation of taking a small red-colored quartz pendant from a necklace and putting it on some hoop earrings and… dang if it didn’t slip from my fingers and scuttle under the chest of drawers. I tried to trace its sound trajectory but I couldn’t locate it. I assumed it had lodged in the gap between the floorboards and the wall under the heating element, out of the reach of anyone’s fingers.
After much grappling and groping all over the floor and carpet just to be sure, I surrendered. Nothing to be done. It was gone.
A couple of days later, I walked up to my bedroom and right in front of the bureau on the floor, as obvious as could be … there was the little crystal. The place I’d looked over many times in my search of the rogue item.
“Hello, Faeries!” was my first response.
But then may practical mind wanted to check. “Did you put a little red crystal on the floor in front of my bureau?” I asked my partner. No, he insisted.
I explained what happened and he grinned from ear to ear. “I can’t tell you how many times something like that has happened to me,” he said. “It’s the Faeries!”
“I know,” I said, totally delighted not only by having my cherished gem back but also at the wonder of the experience.
About three years ago a similar thing happened. The third tanzanite gem on a ring suddenly was gone. I was so sad, as I truly loved that ring. I looked and looked. No luck. One day in my office there it appeared on top of the ledge of one of the windows, right behind the lock. What a totally odd place… it was hilarious. I knew it must have been the Faeries. I took the gem up, put it in a little pouch with the ring, and set the intention to bring the ring to a jeweler for the repair.
The next time I looked at the pouch in my drawer, the gem was gone again. I guess the Faeries really liked that one.
So, my point is, “There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy,” as Hamlet said.
At times like this, when things can seem a little intense in our world, it’s nice to know that there are Faeries, there is mischief… there is magic.
I have had this happen as well…it was part of a teaching in detachment and all that this implies. An andaran crystal that assists me in healings told me I am always with you whether physically or not. In other words do not become attached to my physical presence, “you are powerful.” Your intention is everything…your creative mind power. A family heirloom ring kept disappearing to teach detachment as well until finally that finger swelled and I heard this is not mine to carry anymore (divorce). His ancestral stuff is not mine or the kids to “carry”. I gave it to him to carry the weight and transmute.
I feel that if things disappear that there is either a lesson being taught or foul play is at hand and the home and land are in need of clearing.
I love this, Diane. So wise. Thanks for sharing!
