Divine Feminine Power for Healing & Spiritual Awakening

Fifty Shades of Love

Give This Five Minutes of Your Time

The English language seems to have missed the subtleties around love. For us it’s one plain word, and if you want to nuance it, you have to add an adjective.

Not so for the ancient Greeks, who had at least six independent words for the concept, all reflecting various ways we can express affection for others, be it lovers, long-term partners, friends, family members, oneself, or all of humanity. (OK, since you asked: eros, pragma, philia & xenia, storge, philautia, and agape).

The bottom line here is that love is a many splendored thing, as the Four Aces crooned way back in the 1950s. (OK, I was NOT alive then).

But what IS love, really? Is it a substance? A vibration? An emotion? A color of light?

I’ve received numerous times in oracle space that love is the very fabric of the universe, the glue that keeps matter together. It’s the impulse in nature. It’s at once the journey and the destination. Does that resonate with you?

For us humans, love is what we most desire. It’s what keeps us alive. All negativity is a cry for love, too (asking “what is the desire for love behind this behavior?” is a great practice to engage when someone does something troubling). Even the Archons are motivated by a kind of care for their race (think the Orcs of Tolkien).

It feels good to receive love and offer it. Curious, then, that so often in our human lives we forget about love or don’t feel it. The centrifugal force of 3D, the stresses of life, can be quite distracting. The traumas triggering the pain body can make love feel like a long-forgotten memory we never had.

Enter… the Marys.

I’ve spoken and written about the name Mary coming from the Egyptian Meri, meaning beloved, lover, and love itself all rolled into one. Essentially, I am loved, I love, I am love.

What they are showing us is that we are all manifestations of this… we just need to take a moment to remember it and put it into practice.

So I invite you to call upon the Marys and spend five minutes meditating on love. What does it mean you? When have you felt it? When haven’t you? Who or what do you love? What does it feel like?

And, most important, what brings it to you and what brings you to it, and how can you stimulate that energy within you RIGHT NOW?

Pick one thing and practice it this week. Observe what happens.

Remember: love is not only your birthright, it’s who you are.

PS: If you’d like a deep dive into how to amplify receiving, giving, and being love, please join us for the Experience the Embodied Love & Bliss of the Marys in-person retreat, Oct 11 weekend https://www.sevensistersmysteryschool.com/abode-retreat-2024/. Registration closes Sept 27. We’d LOVE to have you.
