Recently, I was speaking with a colleague about the spiritual teachings we offer. At one point, I mentioned that I often find myself returning to my own recorded classes, guided journeys, and transmissions because they contain medicine I need, too.
To my surprise and delight, she immediately replied that she had been receiving guidance to do the very same thing. She felt called not only to create her teachings, but to actively engage them herself as part of her own healing and growth. There was something deeply reassuring about hearing that. It reminded me that many of us who guide others are walking the path alongside those we serve.
In fact, one of the great surprises of my life has been discovering that the teachings I offer are often as much for me as they are for anyone else.
Sometimes a teaching emerges through months of research, prayer, contemplation, and spiritual experience. Other times it arrives through a transmission, an unexpected insight, or a thread that begins weaving itself together in ways I could never have anticipated. I record the teaching, share it, and offer it to others ~ and then life presents me with an opportunity to embody it more fully.
For a long time, I imagined that healing unfolded in a fairly linear way. We learn something, master it, and then teach it to others. Yet life has shown me that healing rarely moves in straight lines.
Instead, it tends to unfold in spirals. We encounter a lesson, integrate it, and perhaps even help others with it. Then, years later, we meet that same lesson from a deeper vantage point ~ not because we failed, but because we have grown.
The Marys have taught me this repeatedly. Mother Mary did not become a great healer because she transcended human experience; she became a great healer because she entered it so completely. Mary Magdalene did not embody wisdom because she had no wounds; she embodied wisdom because she continually transformed her wounds into gateways of awakening.
Again and again, these women remind me that spiritual maturity is not about standing above life. It is about standing within it with presence, compassion, and courage.
This has become especially clear to me in recent years. Whether I am teaching about healing the mother wound, reclaiming lost aspects of the self, deepening one’s relationship with the Divine, navigating uncertain times, or stepping into greater spiritual authority, I find that the teachings continue to work on me long after I have delivered them.
Sometimes I listen back to a recording and realize I need the message as much as anyone hearing it. Sometimes a guided journey I created for others becomes exactly the medicine my own heart requires that day. And sometimes I discover that the very teaching I thought I was giving is actually a teaching I am still receiving.
I have come to cherish this rather than see it as a contradiction. To me, it is evidence that the teaching is alive.
In fact, this realization has helped me understand a curious pattern that has appeared in my dream life for decades. Again and again, I have experienced dreams in which I am somehow giving healing and receiving healing at the same time.
These dreams rarely unfold in a clear, linear narrative. Often I awaken with only fragments of what occurred, if I remember the storyline at all. What remains instead is a feeling ~ a deep knowing that healing was taking place in multiple directions simultaneously.
For many years, I wasn’t quite sure what to make of these experiences. Yet as I have continued teaching and then returning to my own teachings for nourishment and guidance, I have begun to recognize the same dynamic at work. The boundary between healer and healed becomes less fixed than we often imagine. The flow of wisdom, care, insight, and transformation moves in all directions at once.
Perhaps this is one of the ways the soul experiences reality beyond the limitations of ordinary perception. What appears separate from the vantage point of the everyday mind may reveal itself as deeply interconnected from a wider perspective. Teacher and student, giver and receiver, healer and healed are not always occupying different roles. Sometimes they are expressions of the same sacred process unfolding through a single life.
A living teaching does not stop moving simply because it has been spoken aloud. It continues unfolding through the life of the teacher as well as through the lives of the students. In that sense, the healer and the healed are not separate people; they are often the same person occupying different points along the same sacred path.
This realization has softened something in me over the years. It has made me less interested in appearing finished and more interested in being authentic. It has made me less concerned with perfection and more devoted to practice. It has also reminded me that none of us ever stand outside the curriculum of life.
Perhaps this is one reason I still love teaching after all these years. Each class, sacred circle, teaching transmission, conversation with the Marys, and encounter with the Pleiadian Councils of Light opens another doorway for me as well. I do not stand outside that doorway directing others through it; I enter alongside them.
The older I get, the more I believe that true teaching is not the act of standing apart from others. It is the willingness to walk with them ~ to keep learning, keep healing, and keep saying yes to the next layer of growth.
And in that sense, the healer and the healed are indeed one. As perhaps they always were.

This is beautiful, I have also received this insight. My YouTube channel is all about my journey of self mastery and spiritual awakening and I every insight or download, message, affirmation that I receive and record, it is something I needed to hear myself or have practiced myself so I share it with the world as it is something I may need to revisit or remind myself. ❤️ thank you for sharing your wisdom and grace 🙏
Thank you for sharing your experience with us, Cindi!
Such powerful teachings, the journey continues to unfold taking us deeper and deeper in the remembering of who we are. The learning, the releasing, the healing never ends. Layers are removed to shine the light on the next part of our sacred journey. Much gratitude for your teachings.
Here’s to removing those layers, Julie!

Amen to that and oh so true!
There is often a deep knowing and yet internal struggle when I teach. The lessons that come out are clearly for me as well, which sometimes feels like a contradiction as teacher in the regular linear sense (think school) has this has hierarchical tendency to it. But as I teacher of things magical and spiritual the teaching is spiral, something to return to and deepen every time around the circle. Seeing it with fresh eyes and new gnosis.
Thanks you for this reminder Marguerite!
Thank you for the lovely and insightful sharing, kristy lee!
Amen…
Amen, Maria…
I love this thought – to blur the boundaries between healer and other person. And how the healing occurs across time and space. Thank you!
So often, blurring the boundaries accelerates the healing process!
Definitely resonate with how you feel, and appreciate how beautifully you articulated this.
With much surprise, and some guilt, each time I work with a client, I recognize that I need the healing too. This has taken me some time, to let go of the guilt, and reconcile this truth that we heal as One. The hierarchy is a false requirement, and the Oneness brings the relationship into alignment with Source God. The Mary’s nod their approval.
Now instead of wondering if there is something wrong, I marvel at the miracle of right relationship, and honor how sacred this is.
Beautifully stated, Mary!
Life is a mirror. Indeed. It is uncanny what my clients voice in my sessions with them. Mirror, mirror on the wall… I love teaching so much because I learn. Over and over on that spiral.
Indeed!
I love this Mary and truly appreciate everyone’s honest and humble sharings. I, too experience this and it blows my mind how the unfoldment occurs.
Years ago
i had my first spiritually oriented counselor 1983, a little man named David. Back then there was no term like coach. My first 2 sessions with him he touched my heart so deeply I just sat and cried. He was no guru and had no specific tradition, and he was married and had a family. Very androgynous. It freed me because I had the literal thought that for the first time I met a man on the planet “like me”. We broke all the counseling rules:continued to do that role together, he had me to dinner and introduced me to his wife. And the energy of profound intimacy pervaded it all. It simultaneously challenged
me and freed me. And by his modeling and the demanding authenticity required to be sO close—I made my own commitment to live life that way.
Later when i met a clairvoyant counselor who taught me to connect to Jesus,, and later Mary ( I keep a painting I made of her right up about 8 feet from my eyesight where I write my daily plans, move to music and connect to what
i think is her incredible presence…and when I coach people I feel her energy coming off the image and it boosts me up into love and clarity so He could channel highly evolved beings, but he had unheard childhood wounds that kept him from the scary closeness of human intimacy.
I spoke to my first counselor, David about me feeling like I’m not as “evolved” as this second man. David stopped me and he said, “there are teachers out there like that….whose attitude is that they know it all, and that if you listen to them they will guide you to where they are. But When I work with people WE ARE ON A JOURNEY TOGETHER”.
I so deeply appreciate the deep intimacy in what you all shared here. I find it nourishing and en-sweetening and validating to my being.thank you.It takes courage to say what you did and it validates everyone who comes to you.
The other day I was practicing coaching someone in my newly evolving coaching practice. I asked my guides, angels to join with hers and lead is in what would be for the highest good. At one point the intimacy got so deep I could feel myself being melted into oneness with her in such sweetness that I freaked out because It seemed i would have no more “coach” in me to say some brilliant coach thing Ha! Anyways passing on to you that the painting of Mary helped me enormously to catch on to a higher clearer energy that kept me from getting lost in the nederlands of my unconscious wounds ,or something like that.
I want to thank y0u for bringing forth the Mary’s Consciousness so needed in our world and in me, too. It’s just so, so needed the “championing” of those beautiful energies to our planet. And I am hoping that its OK that I come on this chat as a guy-man-dude ( I can’t help it I’m from California) .. as i have fears that I won’t be welcomed because I;m not a woman . However a HUGE part of my intentional path is the integration of my masculine and feminine energies. I was taught in a system of self integration whereby we identify our male and female selves and actively get them co-creating and partnering. I follow my dreams where they show their subconscious roles….I Dialogue with them. make life choices based on their mutual input, and dance, play music, and paint with them channeling through me.It is profound and fun, but the resultant androgyny keeps me pretty porous and naked and my level of closeness and playfulness sometimes stirs up fear in people around me….so I go to Nature…ahhh.
I may join in on one of your courses if it’s ok for guys to come. I understand the trauma women feel in our societies…I mean as much as a man can imagine, so I empathize, and also would love to be included..Igoess I have a fear of criticism as I write this.
And I find that the evolved beings on the inner planes love for us to receive them as it paradoxically fulfills them to. The linear model in me is challenged trying to understand how it works and I too find like you, Mary that the healing goes out and goes in and goes through in all directions. Currently my mind likes the image of a sphere of radiant sunshine in a river that becomes an ocean. And my-our=the feminine energies hold me through the scary transformations . i’m always trying to understand !
Thank you for your lovely sharing, Todd!
Mary I so appreciate your comment. I felt so bad after I wrote this and went to bed….I’m sorry for carrying on and on in my entry above and it being printed in a kind of disorderly manner. I was so darned excited to discover your site here where are people sharing about Mary/Mary’s ! I just wanted to blurt out everything i’d known and I layered in perhaps a bit much and a bit not-so-well orderly. Plus I think the mechanism that prints this….I hit a key or something and part of what I’d written got moved into another place in the entry.
Also, I realized after i sent it I have a fear going that i won’t be loved and accepted in your world here because….I’m a man. It’s true ! So that fear was roiling around as i wrote and that affected my delivery. Please advise me on whether men ( and I am quite good with “My” feminine energies and feel very blessed at the sensitivities it carries) are welcomed here and in your offerings, classes. I really would like to participate.
I would love to enroll in your course on the Two Mary’s bothe educationally and energetically connecting together .
Thanks for listening and getting back to me. I was fantasizing that you had erased /deleted my entry. Now I feel better :))
Hello Todd. Men are welcome here; however, the Mary & Magdalene Priestess Training is for women only. We warmly invite you to thoroughly investigate our home page and choose the offerings to which you resonate!
