This week, after 5 months of writing, I fully completed my first of two books on Mary, down to the letter. I bet you’d love to hear the title… but I’m going to hold off on that until things are a little farther along.
The newest of the new news is that a very high-ranking agent has agreed to personally represent this book. He sent out inquiries to publishers this week, and we’ve already gotten serious requests for the proposal & the manuscript, which is record timing in the publishing world. He also wrote me, saying: “My wife, who is an intuitive healer and clairvoyant, has also read your book proposal and feels strongly that you are accurate in what you are writing. She is already a fan and feels that your book will help women throughout the globe have a better understanding of the true nature of feminine energy.”
As I launch the new Mother Mary Mystery Teachings course, these could not be more welcomed developments. All of this affirms what I’ve spent years uncovering about Mother Mary. And by the way, it’s not just women who will get a boost with these revelations, it’s people of all genders who are looking for healing & spiritual mentoring.
Why Magdalene First?
A lot of folks have been in on the revelations about Mary Magdalene as consort of Jesus and apostle to the apostles, which have emerged since Margaret Starbird opened up a new vision of her with The Woman with the Alabaster Jar in 1993. I was fascinated by Starbird’s inspired research, met her personally, and began teaching on her material in the late 1990s.
This happened through slideshows (aaawww… remember slides?!) that I lovingly created for women’s groups and spiritual institutes. When I became a university faculty member in the 2000s, I brought that material, slides and all, to college students, even creating an entire course on Mary Magdalene for Dominican U in San Rafael. By the time The DaVinci Code came out, I was already something of a Magdalene expert.
Mother Mary… well, it took a little bit longer for me to warm up to her. I guess that’s because even when it comes to religion, sex still sells, and Magdalene was the sexier one. Many years passed before I turned my research floodlights on the Blessed Mother. And I notice that aside from religion scholars writing in fairly inaccessible ways, hardly anyone else had brought Mary into the light, either.
Although I was already talking about Mary as a divine birth priestess starting in 2007, it took me another decade to really get into her. But in 2017, when I learned about what the late Hindu saint Sri Kaleshwar has written and taught about Mary, that she was the “most powerful human being who ever walked the planet,” I nearly exploded with weeping. Actually, I did weep, I just didn’t explode or even make any noise. But I was… verklempt… to say the least.
Since that time, I have had a personal spiritual awakening to the major female figure of my Catholic childhood. This doesn’t necessarily make me any of the “C” words. It just means that I’m awakening more and more and more to the holy woman – who became a goddess – who has been right under my nose.
There is so much juicy stuff about Mother Mary that I’ve uncovered that basically has rocked my world. I have also come to embrace her as a personal healer and a “personal trainer,” if you will, in the spiritual gym of my life. I believe that many of you are ready for this new view of Mary, and that – whether you grew up “C” or not – you’re going to find it thrilling, too.
Why Mary now? Because we – and our wild world – need her loving touch. Mother Mary is here for us, in ways we have barely imagined.
